We went to the dock and saw six deer. I also saw lots of trees. The leaves were so pretty. Then we took a hike on a trail and played a game on the prairie.

We talked about all of the different flowers and animals that eat and live in the prairie.

Caw! Caw! That's what it sounded like at the Pioneer Nature Center. As soon as we stepped out of the bus, a lady led us to a room and had us all sit down in rows while she told us facts about the prairie. Then she took Ms. Barker and dressed her up as a bison. After that she split us up into eight groups, and we got to go outside and explore. Finally when we got outside the first thing that we did was talk about different kinds of grasses. Second we went to an exhibit and saw white-tailed deer. Then we got to go hide in the prairie and play Predator and Prey. Finally the last thing we did was go on a hike and see a real bald eagle! That was a fun field trip and I hope we'll do it again. by Lexi
