Yaaa, today is the day that we go on a field trip to Chet Ager Prairie and Center. When we got there first thing we did was look at how bison live in the prairie. The bison have fat and fur to keep them warm in the winter. They also have a long tail to zap flies. Also they have a beard to brush off the snow. They have horns to defend themselves. Their hooves keep their balance.

Ms. Barker dressed up like a bison and it taught us about bison.

While we were there we saw plants, grasshoppers, ants, and animals. The animals we learned about are a bald eagle, a bison, and a hawk that was flying around. We had such a fun time on our fourth grade field trip.

We saw short grass, tall grass, very weird plants, and a mole hole. We saw ducks and deer and raccoon prints. We scared the white tail deer. When we scared them their tails popped up and we saw why they are called white tail deer. by Alli
