A Message from Mr. Z.
Parents and kids in Grades Kindergarten through Second are invited
to our first ever K-2 Family Night on Thursday, March 13th at 7:00
pm in the Hill Multipurpose Room. This is a fun night for children
and their parents. We will have a fun-filled hour of songs and stories
from a local group called King Kubert and who knows........maybe
a teacher or two! We will end the evening with cookies, drinks,
and coffee (for the tall people!). Watch for a reservation flier
coming home next week. This will be a great night for us as a community.....hope
you can make it.
The Hill staff would like to extend our sympathies to Mrs. Russell,
whose father died on Thursday, January 30th.
Are You Saving for College?
The Hill PTA is sponsoring an informative evening on the Nebraska
College Savings Program. As parents of elementary age students,
NOW is the time to begin thinking about this program. Ken Koop from
Smith Barney will be making a presentation for Hill parents on Thursday,
March 6th at 6:30 pm in the multipurpose room. The PTA will be offering
childcare for this evening. Reservation forms will be coming home
soon.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Conferences are scheduled for the last two weeks in February. If
you haven’t scheduled a time yet, please stop by or call the
office for an appointment with your child’s teacher.
Hill Elementary PTA Science Fair
Don't forget to sign up for the Hill Science Fair. This will be
held on the evening of Thursday, February 27th at Hill. The district
fair (grade 5 only) will be held the next week on Tuesday, March
4th at the State Fair Grounds.
YWCA Opportunity
The YWCA is providing a Saturday break for parents on Saturday,
February 8th from 5:00 - 8:30 PM at their location, 1432 N Street.
This evening is to provide parents/caretakers with some recharging
time while their children are cared for in a safe, fun and nurturing
environment. Call 434-3494, ext. 108 if you are interested in this
opportunity.

at 7:00 pm in the MPR.
